Without any more delay, my top 5 anime's of 2016:


Halo 2 – Rating: 6/10

Fantastic Graphics

First on our list is Halo 2. This came out earlier in the year and touts the reputation of having the first robots in an anime that were also people and fought aliens. This was also the first anime to have rideable vehicles with rotating turrets and rockets and stuff.

Easy to watch and understand

Received a good rating from the anime rating commission who voted it best anime for children 10+. Only problem is it required an expensive cable box and not many 10-year-olds could afford the expensive equipment

Ring is space anus

This anime is centered around a giant space anus that all the aliens and robot people want to control. Main character is haunted by ghost of his dead mother who wrestles with her feelings to romantically link herself to her sons space suit, but the robot doesnt want to get with his mother and instead tries to blow up the spanus.


Spongebob – Rating: 7/10

Silly antics

This anime is a blast to watch. And extremely memorable because of the day-to-day antics that take place with lead character spongebob and sidekick squidman

Loveable characters

The characters are easily likeable and relatable with houses made of fruits. Main character is also a fry cook, can’t drive, and is much like the majority of this anime’s fans.

18+

Can be very dark at time and showcases mature themes. This anime finds it easy to show that life, even at the bottom of the sea, can be hard on the psyche and makes you wonder if going forward in life is really worth it.


Top Gear – Rating: 7/10

Fast cars

This Car based anime has very quick cars and massive production budget. Animators work usually one month per episode and do not get paid. If they do not complete the work correctly or on time they get punched in the face. This reflects on the quality. Top notch.

Funny skits

This anime is centered around three nerds just like the three musketeers or the three stooges, except British so not as smart as the former. Usually each show follows the group as they travel to the 3rd world and show off that they have more money than the poor people who live there.

Likeable characters

Despite being british, these characters are very likeable, and you can find at least one of them that resembles yourself.


The country of Mexico – Rating: 2/10

Poverty

This anime is very poor and there is not much production value. I forgot why I put it on the list.

Violence

I would recommend this to the person who likes a lot of blood and violence, as this would be the main demographic that this anime is catered towards.

Drugs/cartels

A large plot in this anime follows the leaders of the cartels, their dirty businesses, corruption of the government, and how they amass large amounts of wealth and power. Very good if you liked last years top anime: Breaking Bad


Starsiege Tribes – Rating: 9/10

Best anime

Fantastic anime, this goes as my top 1 for just about anyone except for 12-year-olds who like good graphics and counter-strike.

Fast paced

Only recommended for those who like quick action, fast scenes, like to watch people surf on mountains and blow up competition with true skill and precision

Flying and explosions

There is a lot of robots flying around, which is the mark of every great anime. Robots, robot chicks, multiple classes of main characters, and everyone dies.


In conclusion, this year had an alright lineup. I'm hoping in 12-months when I make next years top-5 anime list we will have some better showcases.
